Hi.....I'm new to this site....have been checking a few different one out to find some support. Have 80 days soberiety today......woke up hung over in jail and made the choice to surrender.....doing 90 days on house arrest so trying to find so ways to fill my time and benefit from my time spent on line.....looking for friends !!!

Surrendering can be such a liberating feeling - my experience is that once i understood i couldn't control my drinking (no matter how hard i tried)it meant i could just surrender and give up even trying to control it… this was so liberating because it meant that i could then move on, recover and enjoy the life i deserved which is 100% better than the life i lived with alcohol.
When it gets tough try saying to yourself:
Please grant me the serenity to accept the things i cannot change, courage to change the things i can and wisdom to know the difference.
Recovery is an amazing journey - enjoy the ride
